Homecoming Hair & Makeup
Firstly the hair should always match the dress; in which ever way possible that is.
- Perhaps you have a one shoulder dress , for the hair you should do an up-do . By doing this your bringing the hair away from the dress to show off it's unique features while remaining formal.
- As for strapless dresses or spaghetti straps the hair should in some way be down to frame your face. Having hair around your face to frame it helps the dress to look like it was made for you. Also if it's a bit to big having the hair to there will make the dress look like the one you were dieting to fit into.
- For the high neckline dresses it's best to sleek the hair back to something such as a messy bun or tight curls. The thing is to get the hair up and off the face and neck to fully show off the dress. With this look some large formal earrings will complete the look without overpowering it .
Makeup should compliment the rest of the look ; not overpower it to the point that you look like a different person.
- For really sequined, glitter, and bedazzled dresses it's best to go for minimal makeup with a bright fun lip color. Whilst keeping the look neutral by balancing the dress and makeup. If you do a full face of makeup , complete with fake eyelashes it is gonna get you a ton of odd looks. No there is nothing wrong with a little blush but you shouldn't look like you entered a glitz pageant.
- For simpler dresses that are single colored taking a chance with makeup isn't a terrible idea. Since you have a simple dress trying winged eyeliner or bold eye shadow will only add to the look.
Makeup should only extricate the faces natural features not create new ones.
